Foundations of LEAN Construction

Introductory and Awareness Courses

The level one programs are intended to give you the basic understandings of AWP concepts. This understanding will help you in identifying implementation requirements as well as being able to support the overall initiative with a theoretical understanding of AWP methodologies.

Level One

AWP Fundamentals Certification 

The AWP Fundamentals Certification provides a foundational understanding of the Advanced Work Packaging Methodology and its implementation and execution across the project lifecycle. In this online course, the equivalent of two days of training is filled with information, templates, and industry materials designed to give students a clear foundation of how to execute the necessities of AWP.

WFP Fundamentals Certification 

WorkFace Planning Fundamentals from AWP University provides the tools you need to work onsite as a WorkFace Planner. This two-day training will give you the foundation you need for a clear understanding of the necessities to execute a project or project portfolio efficiently using WorkFace Planning.

AWP for Engineering Certification 

The AWP University’s AWP for Engineering Certification provides engineers and engineering leads with a fundamental understanding of the AWP Methodology, and the skills to effectively produce the engineering deliverables and requirements for projects utilizing AWP.

Project Executives

In this course, Project Executives will take an in-depth look at the EPC and Owner’s roles in AWP, their role in the early planning and set-up of a project using AWP, and how AWP and WorkFace Planning are applied to different types of projects and project portfolios.

INTERMEDIATE

AWP Coordinator

This course prepares future AWP Coordinators for their roles and responsibilities on a project using AWP. Through this course, the AWP Coordinator will learn how to effectively engage all project stakeholders on AWP processes and issues, how to set up a project to make AWP implementation successful, and how to develop, optimize, and refine a mutually aligned-to path of construction.

INTERMEDIATE

WorkFace Planner

AWP University’s WorkFace Planner Level 2 provides WorkFace Planners with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and manage IWPs across their entire lifecycle. Through this course, the WorkFace Planner will learn their roles and responsibilities in both WorkFace Planning and AWP – from early Path of Contruction planning and development, to IWP Close-out.

WorkFace Planning Coordinator

This course prepares the WorkFace Planning Coordinator for their key role in supporting the WorkFace Planners on a project. Through this course, the WorkFace Planning Coordinator will gain the skills to ensure the effective and timely execution of the AWP Processes, from early path of construction planning to final close-out.
